Halifax Panthers Welcomes New Head of Commercial

Halifax Panthers has announced the appointment of Rachel Garrod as the new Head of Commercial, a move aimed at bolstering the executive team for the upcoming season.

CEO Damian Clayton MBE stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Rachel Garrod to our team as the new Head of Commercial. Rachel’s extensive background in Intellectual Property and Trademark Law, combined with her personal connection to the club through her father, Graham Garrod, a noted former player, makes her an ideal fit for this role. She will be joining us in a voluntary capacity, while maintaining her position as Senior Associate at Appleyard Lees, a leading Intellectual Property Law Firm.”

“Rachel’s strategic insights and innovative approach will be pivotal as we aim to extend our commercial reach and reinforce our club’s standing in the sporting community,” he added.

Garrod’s appointment is seen as a link between the Panthers’ illustrious past and its ambitious future goals. “I am eager to contribute to the club’s success, especially at a time when we are aiming for Super League status. My local roots and lifelong support for the Panthers will drive my efforts to advance the club,” Garrod commented.

The club also expresses its deep gratitude to Steve Lambert and Pete McNamara, the outgoing Commercial Director and team member, respectively, for their dedicated service over the years.
