Lee Kenny Rejoins Halifax Panthers Board

Our very own Lee Kenny, co-owner of The Grapevine Mags, has agreed to re-join the board of The Halifax Panthers with responsibility for media and marketing.

During his previous stint at the club, he was charged with rebranding Halifax RLFC to The Halifax Panthers, while retaining the clubs proud sense of history.

Halifax Panthers are delighted to announce the return of Lee Kenny to the board of directors, where he will spearhead the club’s media and marketing initiatives. Lee brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the industry, having previously served in the same capacity.

Lee Kenny’s association with Halifax Panthers dates back to his initial appointment in 2020, where he assumed the role of Media & Marketing Director. His career includes founding the Halifax-based Snowflake Media Group, renowned for its expertise in sales, marketing, and branding services for local, national, and international clients.

With a passion for sports, Lee has been instrumental in various high-profile projects, including the launch of The Golf Channel UK on Sky television and overseeing TV, E-Commerce & Multi-channel operations at JJB Sports.
“I am honoured to join the board of such a prestigious club,” said Lee Kenny. “Having been born and raised in Halifax, I understand the significance of both a strong Rugby League & Football Club to our community. I am excited to collaborate with the exceptional team at Halifax Panthers to elevate our media and marketing efforts as we strive to be Super-League Ready over the coming few years.”

Chairman Dave Grayson expressed his enthusiasm for Lee’s return, “Lee’s passion for both Halifax Panthers (and FCHT) is clearly evident and bringing him back to the Panthers is a real coup for the Club.His skillset and network alongside his understanding of how the Club operates will enable him to hit the ground running. He is well respected here at the Panthers and it’s great to have him back”
